OnDeckBanner

What follows is the official information regarding the schedule of events for the upcoming “Brewers On Deck” fan fest scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 2016, running from 10a – 5p that day.

If you missed the list of announced attendees (which I will continually update as names are added/removed), click here.

The Klement’s Main Stage will include various Q&A sessions with top Brewers baseball executives, the coaching staff and game shows.

The Brewers Interactive Stage will feature Kids Only Question and Answer sessions, where youngsters interview players, and a roundtable discussion with members of the Milwaukee media who cover the team on a regular basis.   Brewers Community Foundation will host a Treasure Hunt, featuring some hard-to-find Brewers items on sale as well as a live auction at 12:00 p.m. on the Interactive Stage.  Additionally, BCF will hold a 50/50 Raffle.  The winner will be announced at the Interactive Stage following the coaching staff autograph session.

Photo sessions with players are also scheduled throughout the day in designated photo areas.  The Brewers Team Store by Majestic will have a full set up with the latest Brewers merchandise for sale and a Brewers Museum will feature memorable artifacts from throughout the history of the team.

Details on the autograph and programming schedules are listed below. The schedules are subject to change, with the latest version and more information available at Brewers.com/ondeck. Autographs this year will be either free, $10, or $25 with proceeds benefitting Brewers Community Foundation.

Recipients of “PREMIER” autographs Ryan Braun, Rollie Fingers, and Bob Uecker will be chosen through a random selection process. Each fan in attendance will receive one Premier Entry card which may be redeemed at the Random Selection area outside the Main Exhibit Hall of the Wisconsin Center.  The Premier Entry card will be exchanged for a numbered coupon and entered into the random selection process for any one of the select Brewers players.  Coupon distribution will be available at 8 a.m. the day of the event and will continue up to an hour before each designated autograph session.

There is no cost for coupons to enter the random selection process; however, those holding winning coupons must pay $25 at the respective autograph stage to collect their player signature.  There will be 250 winners for each of the autograph sessions.  The winning ticket numbers will be posted at the designated autograph stage no less than 30 minutes prior to each player’s session. A schedule is listed below:

Brewers 2015 Cactus League Schedule Released

Here’s the 2015 Spring Training schedule! Cactus League action, come for the scorpion stings, stay for the cactus spines in your foot!

Below is the official press release with all of the dates/times/opponents.

Here are the quick hit highlights:

  • P&C (and my annual viewing of the movie Major League) is officially set for Friday, February 20th
  • Position players must report by Wednesday, February 25th
  • Open with an exhibition against the UW-Milwaukee Panthers baseball team
  • Gone is the traditional Maryvale opener against the Oakland Athletics. (Related to the Nashville Sounds re-affiliation?)
  • No Miller Park exhibitions in 2015

The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the team’s 2015 Spring Training schedule, which consists of 31 Cactus League games, including 16 at Maryvale Baseball Park.

The Brewers will open the spring schedule on Wednesday, March 4, against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team at Maryvale Baseball Park. This will mark the first time the Brewers will face a collegiate team in an exhibition game since 1983 when they played the Arizona State University men’s baseball team. It will also mark the first-ever contest between the Brewers and the Panthers.

The Brewers will host their National League Central rival Chicago Cubs on Saturday, March 14. The spring slate includes one scheduled split squad date on Sunday, March 15 vs. the Oakland Athletics at Maryvale Baseball Park and also against the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium. Following an off day on Monday, March 16 – the first of two off days (also off on Monday, March 30) – the Brewers will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a game against the San Diego Padres in Peoria on Tuesday, March 17.

The Brewers will play three night games this spring. They include Friday, March 13 against the Seattle Mariners at Peoria Sports Complex (7:05 p.m. local start time); Tuesday, March 24 against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Talking Stick (6:40 p.m.); and Friday, March 27 with a 7:05 p.m. game against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark. All other spring games are day games, most of which will begin at 1:05 p.m. Arizona time (the games on Thursday, April 2 and Saturday, April 4 will begin at 12:05 p.m.).

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Spring Training on Friday, February 20. All position players have a report date of Wednesday, February 25. The first full workout is scheduled for Thursday, February 26.

Tickets for the Milwaukee Brewers’ home Spring Training games will go on sale at 9 a.m. CT on Monday, December 8 at Brewers.com and by phone at 800-933-7890. Normal business hours are from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT. Sales at the Maryvale Baseball Park Box Office will begin on Monday, February 9, 2015. Tickets are available in four seating areas: Field Box ($23), Infield Reserved ($17), Outfield Reserved ($13) and Lawn Seating ($8). In addition, there will also be a limited number of advanced parking passes available for $5.  Information on Spring Training Season Tickets can be obtained by calling the Milwaukee Brewers Ticket Office at 414-902-4000.

FOX Sports Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Brewers announced Tuesday a 150-game television schedule for the 2014 season. FOX Sports Wisconsin will serve as the exclusive local television home for the Milwaukee Brewers. Select Brewers games also will be televised nationally on FOX Sports and FOX Sports 1.

FOX Sports Wisconsin’s regular season coverage begins Monday, March 31, with the Brewers home opener against Atlanta – the first of seven televised games against the Braves.

Other highlights from the 2014 schedule include: eighteen games against division rivals the Chicago Cubs, a pair of home-and-home series with the Minnesota Twins scheduled for June 2-5, and three games against the defending World Series champion Boston Red Sox.

Brian Anderson will continue to serve as the primary play-by-play announcer with newcomer Matt Lepay joining analyst Bill Schroeder in the broadcast booth for select telecasts. Craig Coshun also will serve as play-by-play announcer for select telecasts late in the season while continuing his role as the main host for Brewers Live pre- and postgame shows. Brewers Live airs before and after Brewers telecasts with Jeff Grayson, Telly Hughes and Sophia Minnaert reporting as well as analysis from former first base coach Davey Nelson and former Brewer Jerry Augustine.

FOX Sports Wisconsin also will televise a total of fourteen Brewers home spring training games in 2014.

Brewers 2013 Spring Training Coverage – Combined List

So far once again this Spring, whenever I’ve posted a lineup or scheduled pitchers for a given game someone asks if the game is on TV or radio (or hopefully both).

I don’t mind answering the questions because interaction with you on Twitter and/or Facebook is part of the reason that I’ve got the community that I do, but in order to help get you the answer more quickly, I’m blogging it all in once place like I did last year.

Adding this post’s URL to your favorites list is probably a quality idea as well.

In case you’re reading this via the homepage, the permalink for this post is:

FSWisconsin Announces Brewers Regular Season Television Broadcast Schedule

fswhd

From the press release:

FOX Sports Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Brewers announced today a 150-game television schedule for the 2013 season. FOX Sports Wisconsin will serve as the exclusive television home for the Milwaukee Brewers, televising nearly every game not scheduled for national network TV. This season commemorates a 15 year partnership between the Milwaukee Brewers and the sports network.

FOX Sports Wisconsin’s regular season coverage begins Monday, April 1 with the Brewers home opener against Colorado, the first of six televised games against the Rockies.

Other highlights from the 2013 schedule include: fifteen games against the division rival Chicago Cubs, a pair of home-and-home series with the Minnesota Twins scheduled for May 27-30 and seven games against the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants.

Brian Anderson will continue to call the play-by-play this season alongside Bill Schroeder, who enters his eighteenth season as Brewers analyst.  Brewers Live airs before and after Brewers telecasts with Craig Coshun, Jeff Grayson, Telly Hughes and Sophia Minnaert reporting. FOX Sports Wisconsin broadcasts will also feature analysis from former Brewers first base coach Davey Nelson and former Brewer Jerry Augustine.

FOX Sports Wisconsin will also televise a total of five Brewers spring training games in 2013 beginning with a 3:00 p.m. telecast on Monday, March 11 when the Brewers face the L.A. Dodgers.

All games are broadcast in high definition.

FOX Sports Wisconsin reaches more than 1.5 million homes and telecasts nearly 2,600 hours of locally produced programming per year. For more information on the Emmy Award-winning regional sports network, visit: http://www.foxsportswisconsin.com.

In other words, there are 12 dates which FSWisconsin is not currently the go-to television source. Of those, half are dates covered by the FOXSPORTS mothership’s “MLB ON FOX” on Saturdays. The remaining dates which are not currently scheduled to be aired anywhere on broadcast television are:

  • Wednesday, May 1 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates @ 12:10pm CT
  • Wednesday, June 5 vs. Oakland Athletics @ 1:10pm CT
  • Thursday, July 25 vs. San Diego Padres @ 1:10pm CT
  • Wednesday, August 21 vs. St. Louis Cardinals @ 1:10pm CT
  • Friday, September 6 vs. Chicago Cubs @ 1:20pm CT
  • Thursday, September 19 vs. Chicago Cubs @ 1:10pm CT

They are all day games and all but one of them is mid-week. The Friday afternoon in Chicago is  a little baffling, but perhaps WGN will carry it for us here in southeastern Wisconsin.
