We gave away four autographed photos in our last contest featuring Jean Segura, Yovani Gallardo, and Scooter Gennett.
Next week Monday, my sponsor and I will be giving away the three autographed baseballs pictured below.
This is a social media contest, and as such there are two ways to enter. You must be following both Legends of the Field and the Brewer Nation on Twitter (respectively: @lotfautographs & @BrewerNation) and/or like both of our pages on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/legendsofthefield & http://www.facebook.com/BrewerNation)
Note: There will be one ball guaranteed to go to a Twitter entrant and one ball guaranteed to go to a Facebook entrant. If you want a chance at all three baseballs, you must enter the contest on both platforms.
Then, once you’re in…

That’s it! We’ll select the winners at random on Monday, March 31st…just in time for OPENING DAY!!!
What better way to commemorate the start of a new season than with a new addition to your autograph collection from your trusted source of Brewers memorabilia, Legends of the Field?
Good luck and GO BREWERS!!
Here at Brewer Nation, we care about our readers. We want everyone to be able to participate in all things Brewers and that includes attendance at a certain “hot ticket” event.
So let me ask you the follow question…
Do any of these situations apply to you?
-No luck in the lottery?
-Can’t afford resale upcharges?
-Couldn’t (or wouldn’t) tailgate in “Arctic” conditions?
-Need one to complete your party?
Then do I have a deal for you!
For a limited time only, I’m offering you the chance to win a ticket to Opening Day on March 31st at Miller Park when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Atlanta Braves.
You might be saying to yourself, “I never win anything” or “He’ll never pick me.” Maybe. But that shouldn’t prevent you from trying anyway because you never know!
Okay…enough with the “sales” speak. In all seriousness, I was fortunate enough to be selected in the Opening ticket lottery and bought extra ticket so I could give away.
Here are the specifics on how I’m doing that.
- You have to be able to attend Opening Day on March 31, 2014 at Miller Park. It’d be pretty crappy if you won the ticket, knowing you can’t attend.
- You have to be willing to meet me on the Miller Park grounds on March 31st for the ticket hand off. I require this because I’m not going to let someone make money off of my generosity by reselling the ticket. I’ll be there early enough that day for even the brightest-eyed and bushiest-tailed fan.
- You have to submit a valid, correct entry by March 27th based on the contest specifics which follow.
Here’s how to enter. Email your correct entry to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Answer these questions:
- What number is Tyler Thornburg wearing in camp this year?
- When is the new Wall of Honor scheduled to unveiled?
- Where will the new Bob Uecker statue be located?
- Who won the Fans Choice bobblehead vote?
- What rank did my blog receive on the Top 100 MLB.com blogs ranking?
- Since we’re entering Miller Park’s 14th season, who wore #14 during its inaugural season?
- How many 2014 regular season Brewers games are not scheduled to be televised?
- Against whom are this year’s late March exhibition games scheduled?
- How many Brewers were listed among MLB Network’s Top 100 Players Right Now entering 2014?
- From which team was Wei-Chung Wang taken in the Rule V Draft?
All answers can be found here on my blog. You can utilize the handy search tool in the right-hand column to assist you.
I tweeted this a couple of days ago…
Also, the first fruits of my partnership with @lotfautographs will be announced on Friday evening. Stay tuned for that, Brewer Nation!

And here are the details and instructions on how to participate (and possibly win!).
- Be following me (like you probably already do) on Twitter: @BrewerNation
- Be following Legends of the Field (like you should be) on Twitter: @lotfautographs
If you already follow both of us, you’re already entered! Otherwise, accomplish both of those goals by 11:59pm CST on Friday, March 7, 2014 and you’re entered to win. It really is that simple. You’ll be entered to win one of four signed 8×10 photos.
However, what you can also do though is tweet both me and Legends of the Field if you’d like to be considered specifically for one photo over another.
So what are the photos, you ask? Allow me to offer Exhibits A, B, C, D. (I digitally added “smudges” to the computer image so as to discourage downloads/printing. Believe me that the actual photos are beautiful and the signatures are crisp!) If you choose to enter yourself in the drawing for a specific photo, just tweet both of us the letter of the photo you’d like to be entered to win.
We (the Legends of the Field manager and I) will choose the four random winners on Saturday, March 8, 2014 and will announce them publicly here on the blog after we contact you via Twitter direct message. (You must be 18 to win, but if you get selected when we contact you for details on how to ship you your photo, we can deal with a parent or legal guardian.)
A: Jean Segura (white)
B: Scooter Gennett
C: Yovani Gallardo
D: Jean Segura (gold)
I realize that anyone can see this post, including in my Facebook and Google+ communities as well as the general internet. This is a “Twitter Only” contest to kick things off. There will be other community-specific contests down the road, but if you want in this time and you don’t have a Twitter account……well, make one and follow us!
Also, keep your eyes open mid-next week for a special opportunity related to this contest.
Thanks for reading, and good luck!

Fans Invited to Submit Their Ultimate Uniform Design; Winning Design to be Worn by Brewers Players
Brewers fans may not able to write out the lineup, but through a special initiative they can make their own mark on the team.
The Milwaukee Brewers are seeking their most creative fans to participate in the “Design A YOUniform” contest that begins this Friday morning. The details are simple – fans are invited to submit an original and creative design for a Brewers uniform and the winner will receive a trip to Brewers Spring Training 2013 to see the entire team wear their design on the field in a game.
“People have great ideas for how they would design an alternate uniform for the team, and this is the ultimate opportunity for everyone to have their say,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. “Participants can pick their favorite colors, original logos, and script, or they can utilize elements of the Brewers current uniforms with their own unique twist. It’s literally a blank template and a chance for everyone to show off their creative sides.”
To participate, fans can go to Brewers.com/uniform or the Brewers Team Store by Majestic at Miller Park to download or pick up a design template. Templates include a blank jersey and blank hat that can be filled in digitally or by hand. Completed designs can be uploaded to Brewers.com/uniform or dropped off at the Brewers Team Store by Majestic. The contest begins this Friday at 10:00 a.m. CT, and the deadline for receiving entries is 11:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, December 13.
All submitted designs will be reviewed by an internal Brewers committee that will narrow the submissions to four finalists. On Tuesday, January 15 at 10 a.m. CT, those four finalists will be announced on Brewers.com and a fan vote will open online. In addition to the fan vote, a panel of voters including Brewers pitcher John Axford, Brewers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Doug Melvin and Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger will judge the finalists.
The fan vote will remain open until Tuesday, January 22 at 10 a.m. CT, and on that day, judges’ scores will be tallied to determine a winner (the fan poll will be weighted the same as one judge’s vote). The four finalists will receive a trip to Milwaukee for Brewers On Deck at the Delta Center on Sunday, January 27, where John Axford will announce the winner on the Main Stage.
The hats and uniforms from the winning design will be worn by all Brewers players and coaches at the Friday, March 22 Spring Training game at Maryvale Baseball Park against the Chicago Cubs. The winner will receive a trip to see the game, including airfare for two, tickets to the game to see the uniform “come to life,” and a cash prize for hotel, transportation and other incidentals. The winner will also have the opportunity to select the jersey and hat worn by one player from that day as a souvenir, plus 10 t-shirts and hats made from their design.
The contest is supported by Majestic Athletic, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and New Era Cap Company.
Fans can find more information, complete rules and a design template at Brewers.com/uniform.
